1. How is this virus transmitted?
The transmission of this virus is primarily through the respiratory system. Sufferers of COPD must know how the infection is spread to prevent exposure. This includes:- Through the air, when an infected person around you coughs or sneezes.
- Through personal contact, if you shake hands with or hug an infected individual.
- By touching items or objects that have been touched or sneezed upon by infected individuals.
2. How high are my chances of getting infected or getting ill and then recovering?
Although the chances of someone getting infected without physical contact is very low, but going by the official statistics released by MoHFW, the WHO and other institutions, nearly 80% of the people who contract this disease are near those who have already been infected.
